I really love working with teenagers. They always bring a good mix of excitement and awkwardness to the front of the camera — an energy combination I can work with.
I had a great time with this group - many of whom I've worked with before - and, with the help of a Justin Bieber/Michael Jackson playlist, it didn't take much to get them warmed up.
For the group shot, I shot them individually in smaller groups and then made a composite. Before deciding to shoot it this way, I asked Tatum (who was in charge), do you trust me? "Of course!" she said. Music to my ears.
