An Aussie in Oakley

I met up with Australian champion bareback rider and professional rodeo athlete Anthony Thomas for a quick portrait session, while he was in town to compete in the Oakley City Rodeo. Real nice guy. Easy going yet driven.

I found a covered storage area, on the rodeo grounds, which we used as a quick make-shift studio — with the help of some white seamless paper. It worked out perfect and had great lighting. But the best find was the all-American floats sitting in the back just waiting for me to use.

And I did.

And Anthony couldn’t believe he was actually letting me take his picture on them.

And I reminded him that he lives in Texas … and America.

And just a couple a dudes being cowboys.
