I don't typically shoot (or post) stuff like this - I'm no photojournalist and I don't pretend to be - but this past Saturday I was offered a press pass to the U.S. Snowboardcross Grand Prix, at the Canyons Resort in Park City, and I couldn't pass it up.
Below are a few shots from the final race as well as awards ceremony. Newcomer Trevor Jacob took home the national title for the men and Salt Lake City native Faye Gulini won for the women.
{A note to the guy with the sweet stache}
Thank you, guy with the sweet stache, because of you I can finally say that I've approached, asked, and photographed a complete stranger on the spot - a long time goal that's taken me way too long to accomplish. Go goals! Sorry I didn't get your name and email, otherwise I would have sent you this shot.
{Side note}
When I arrived at the event,
was playing from the announcers booth. I know this bit of information is random but it made the vibe of this swanky ski resort, and its patrons, that much cooler.
Thanks to NESS Management for the press pass and the opportunity to be closer to the action.
