Fun is for family

It’s always about keeping it fun when photographing families with younger children (and putting mom at ease), plus, staying in the moment and on your toes to catch those golden moments. The reason so many kids grow up hating family pictures is because they didn’t have fun, there wasn’t any play, and they were told to smile, stand still, look at the camera, put their hands down, don’t do that face! Plus possible scolding on the car ride home. I do my best to keep that from happening, with my clients. Painless family photos is always the goal. And, if I don’t feel like I’ve successfully done that, I scold myself on the car ride home.

I had a great time with the Dunford family — who were easy to have fun with.
